Welcome to Node & Talg Organics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, products, and services. By visiting our site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. About Us
Node & Talg Organics ("we," "us," "our") is a small-batch skincare company based in Austin, Texas. We make tallow-based moisturizer by hand using organic ingredients. You can reach us at sienna@nodeandtalg.com.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase from our website, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By placing an order, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Our Products
We do our best to display our products accurately, including colors, textures, and packaging. However, slight variations may occur due to the handmade, small-batch nature of our products and natural variability in our ingredients. The texture of tallow-based products may also vary slightly depending on room temperature — this is normal.
Product Use and Disclaimer:
Node & Talg products are cosmetics intended to nourish and moisturize the skin. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or skin condition. Statements regarding our products have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Patch Testing:
We recommend patch testing a small amount of any new product on a discreet area of skin before regular use. Discontinue use if irritation, redness, or discomfort occurs and consult a healthcare provider if symptoms persist.
Ingredients and Allergies:
Our Natural Tallow Moisturizer contains organic grass-fed beef tallow, organic jojoba oil, organic beeswax, vitamin E oil, and organic vanilla. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity to any of these ingredients, please do not use this product. By purchasing and using Node & Talg products, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the ingredient list and accept responsibility for assessing your own suitability for use.
4. Orders and Pricing
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to limit order quantities, refuse or cancel any order, or correct pricing or product information errors at our discretion. If we cancel an order after payment has been processed, we will issue a full refund.
5. Payment
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, Shop Pay, PayPal, and other payment methods displayed at checkout. By submitting payment information, you confirm that you are authorized to use the payment method provided.
6. Shipping and Delivery
Orders are processed and shipped from Austin, Texas, typically within 2–3 business days. We ship via USPS Ground Advantage with a flat shipping rate of $6 for all U.S. orders, with delivery typically within 2–5 business days. Once an order ships, delivery times are out of our control and depend on the carrier. We are not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages once delivered, or shipments to incorrect addresses provided at checkout. We currently ship within the United States only. 7. Returns and Refunds
Because our products are skincare items applied to the body, we are unable to accept returns of opened or used products for hygiene and safety reasons. Please see our Return Policy for full details, including how we handle damaged, defective, or incorrect orders.
8. Discount Codes and Promotions
Discount codes are limited to one per order unless otherwise stated. Discounts cannot be applied to past orders, and we reserve the right to cancel orders that misuse promotional codes (such as sharing codes that were intended for a specific customer or group).
9. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — including text, photos, graphics, logos, the "Node & Talg" name, and branding — is the property of Node & Talg Organics and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or use any of our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
10. User Conduct
When using our site, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
- Attempt to access, scrape, or tamper with our systems or data
- Post or transmit harmful, abusive, or offensive content
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove content that violates these Terms.
11. Reviews and User Content
If you submit a product review, photo, testimonial, or other content to us or our social media, you grant Node & Talg a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, and share that content for marketing and promotional purposes. You confirm that any content you submit is your own and does not infringe on the rights of others.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Node & Talg, its founders, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website. Our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
We are not responsible for adverse skin reactions if you have not patch tested or have not reviewed the ingredient list prior to use.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Node & Talg Organics and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of our products, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of our site after changes means you accept the new Terms.
